MINORITIES RECOGNITION AWARDS
In the wake of the recent deeply troubling acts of violence and vandalism targeting businesses within minority communities in the north, the Minorities Recognition Awards NI (MRANI) at Titanic Belfast on October 4 will celebrate diversity, equality, and the invaluable contributions of these communities to local society.
The awards will serve as a powerful platform to challenge these harmful stereotypes and highlight the positive, substantial contributions made by the ethnic minorities to the economic and social fabric of our nation.
The event, sponsored by Titanic Belfast, Sensata Technologies, Danske Bank, Queen’s University, Ulster University, Ulster Bank, Go Succeed, Belfast City Council and Craic NI, will spotlight the achievements of individuals and businesses who have excelled in various fields, demonstrating the immense talent and potential within these communities.
Awards founder Diane Davis says: “By uniting as one, we not only overcome challenges but also create a society where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.”
“The Minorities Recognition Awards will be a celebration of resilience, determination, and the indomitable human spirit. We invite the public, media, and community leaders to join us in honouring these exceptional individuals and organisations as we collectively work towards a more just and harmonious future.”

What would you suggest to help resolve this issue as this is very important for our kids future?
A good education tends to lead to a higher paying job, as well as provide you with the skills needed to get there.
The purpose of education is to prepare people for life, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to contribute to a thriving society.
It was great to participate to the Launch of a report into experience among Minoriry Ethnic groups in Northern Ireland.
The report shows how the minority ethnic families faces not only challenges in accessing support and further education but more.
Some parents suggested the need for:
– Increased representation of minority cultures and language
– Diverse histories
– Local contribution of minority ethnic communities.

Ethnically Diverse Women Network
What an amazing evening launching Ethnically Diverse Women Network with @womeninbusinessni and #diverityma last night.
We were so happy to see women from diverse communities getting together and have a discussion.
Happy to be on the panel with @orlaveronica and @adriana.morvaiova who are both experienced in educating others.
It was also very important to discuss the importance of recognising talents of people from diverse backgrounds. We reminded everyone that Nominations are still open and hoping to get more nominations from corporate and other small businesses from the Minority communities.
Good luck to all the nominees so far and see the link for nominations here: https://tinyurl.com/37jrz33w
Thank you @christinewhite1515 for setting this up and we really hope we will continue with the same enthusiasm and looking forward to see more Women involved.
